International Mission
Our heart for the gospel extends to encouraging and supporting international mission. We have a history that has supported international mission through direct personal experiences and through other organisations.
Over the years we have been pleased to support many organisations including;
Some of the projects we're currently supporting are listed below.
International Nepal Fellowship (INF)
We've been supporters of INF for a number of years and regularly hold prayer evenings and fund-raising events.
Turkey
The Christian church in Turkey is growing and thriving and again we support that growth in prayer and financially. For security purposes, we can't give specific details of projects supported, but we can say that as we hear regularly from contacts in that country, some amazing things are happening there, in what was the cradle of early church development.
St Andrew's Church, Bukoto, Uganda
We're just starting out on an exciting project supporting this Church in Kampala. St Andrew's is an Anglican Church with membership of around 1000 that attend every Sunday. To support that many people, 4 services are held each Sunday in a newly built Church with a large pastoral team, headed by the Rev Moses Isabirye.
Toilet twinning
The toilets in our church buildings are all twinned with others in Africa. This is an initiative to ensure that funds are available for communities in Africa to build their own latrines and improve sanitation. It's something we take for granted in the UK, with our countrywide sanitiation infrastructure, but something that is a dream still for many African communities and still the cause of infection.
When visiting us and our loos, you can do so in the knowledge that someone in Africa will be there with you...(not literally of course !)
